Basic blog intro

As the Amherst Bulletin letter might bring in some new visitors, I am re-posting some general info to assist those unfamiliar with blogs.

It is arranged in reverse-chronological order, so the most recent posts are always at the top. You may want to start by scrolling down to the bottom of the page to read the earliest stuff first, or just dive right in at the top.

Text in different colors (except the red post titles) are links.

You can comment on any post. To do so, either click on the link at the bottom of the post that says how many comments it currently has (i.e. "0 comments," "5 comments, " etc.); or, from the "previous posts" section on the right-hand side of the page, click the title of the post you want to comment on, (the most recent ten posts are listed there) and then click the "post a comment" link at the bottom. You can register or choose the “anonymous” option, and then either include your name or not – it’s up to you. (Beware: I can remove any inappropriate comments. So much for free speech, huh? Hey, you can always start your own blog.)

Both of the these options also allow you to read the comments left by others, whether or not you wish to comment yourself.

If you don't want to share your comment with everyone else, or you just want to contact me directly, click on the link below my picture that says "view my complete profile." From there, click on the e-mail link.

Any questions? Let me know. And many thanks for stopping by!
